ELECTRIC
METER, LEGALLY'
Q.
How do you make an induction motor to start
generating electricity.
A. Two ways;
first, overdrive the motor and then connect
it to an AC sinc signal or give it a jolt of
DC to 'excite' the magnetic field and have
capacitors to 'catch' and recycle the
signal.
Q.
What would be correct size induction
motor?
A. That
depends on your energy needs and what you
choose as a prime mover.
Q.
What device over-speeds an induction
motor?
A. Any prime
mover; engine (operating on renewable or
waste fuel), wind, hydro, etc.
Q.
Where do I get an induction
motor?
A. We
recommend surplus motors with the 'start'
windings burned out can be aquired at scrap
prices as low as $1 per
horsepower.
