12:45:48
[dhillon] is george here in the
room
13:58:46
[mrmike] hello, have we started
yet?
14:53:37
[Tenaj] Welcome to Online
Chat#3 with George Wiseman of
Eagle-Research Today's subject is:
(Preparing to) Get More MPG!
14:53:57
[mrmike] hello!
14:54:22
[george] Do you fellas have any
questions to start this off?
14:54:47
[Tenaj] We'll go for 1 hour,
then decide if people want
More
14:54:58
[mrmike] Yes, on the choice of
engines (cvcc) are there other
recommendations?
14:56:51
[Tenaj] Any engine can get
increased mileage & performance as
long as you deal with reputable
combustion enhancement devices/methods
and that you maintain the
vehicle
14:57:08
[george] Preparing to increase
mileage first means making sure the
vehicle is all tuned up and operating
properly
14:57:44
[george] Then, we start adding
efficiency enhancements.
14:58:22
[george] Have you fellas been
following my modifications to the Honda
in my newsletter?
14:59:48
[george] I first made sure the
vehicle was in good mechanical shape.
Which incidentally made it get better
mileage than OEM spec.
15:00:34
[george] Then I'm making
modifications to maximize the
efficiency of the OEM fuel
system...
15:01:17
[george] The first was custom
setting the fuel level in the float
bowl.
15:01:18
[mrmike] Im looking to buy a
used car to modify - any that I should
stay away from?
15:02:44
[R2D2] Hello, am I in late,
though up early (7 a.m in
Japan)
15:03:27
[george] mrmike: I don't think
so... I'd be careful to get a vehicle
that's configured for your lifestyle.
For example, using high gearing if you
do a lot of highway
driving...
15:03:32
[Tenaj] Welcome R2D2. We
appreciate you getting up so early to
join us.
15:04:47
[george] mrmike: Every engine
has a most efficient operating rpm, the
gearing for your most use should take
advantage of this.
15:06:13
[george] mrmike: If city
driving, look for an engine with lots
of low rpm torque, like an inline 6. I
believe in putting in more power than
you need, then making the fuel system
super-efficient.
15:06:15
[mrmike] george: thank you. So
would you say a manual transmission
(been years since I hand one
;-)
15:07:32
[george] mrmike: I like them
for outside city and for maximum
mileage (if used properly) but mostly I
recommend automatics for city
use.
15:08:02
[R2D2] mrmike: manual is bets.
Automatic with torque-converter lockup
is OK, CVT is exciting.
15:08:58
[mrmike] R2D2: right on with
the CVT - loved my Honda Helix
!
15:09:00
[george] mrmike askes a VERY
good question: that requires thought;
what is the best vehicle for
me?
15:10:28
[R2D2] Best answers come with
additional info: What is your driving
pattern (for economy), and what dou you
prefer and like?
15:11:55
[george] Actually, I help so
many people with the vehicles they HAVE
that I forget to make recommendations
on the level of what they should have
in the first place.
15:12:22
[mrmike] I currently have a 93
Plymouth minivan - modified for wife's
wheelchair (adds about 500lbs with
lowered floor) - I probably would get a
small ptruck for myself
15:12:42
[Tenaj] What make, year and
fuel system are each of you currently
operating, And what mileage are you
currently gettting?
15:12:59
[george] In addition to vehicle
descriptions, what have you done to try
to increase mileage already?
15:13:09
[R2D2] you give a bag full of
hints on the first few pages in your
Super Gas saver secrets
book.
15:14:14
[mrmike] 93 Plymouth Voyager
wheelchair lowered floor - Fuel
injection - about 18mpg
overall
15:14:26
[dowser] I have a 1990 F350
duly crew cab EFI with 125 k that is in
great condition but only gets about 8.5
mpg at best. Short of getting rid of it
and getting something else, what would
be my best course of action?
15:14:39
[george] R2D2: I do The new
SGSS format is my wife's, she's an
editor, among her other amazing
skills.
15:15:45
[R2D2] I run a 1994 Toyota
Camry wagon, 2 liters engine, city (2.5
mi trips) 18.5 MPG, hiway 39.5
MPG
15:16:24
[dowser] btw it is a 460
7.5L
15:16:49
[mrmike] My Plym Minivan is
3.3L v6 auto
15:17:06
[R2D2] dowser: get George's
book, you'd break even in the first
month on it with minor changes to your
car.
15:17:08
[george] mrmike: what have you
done to try to increase the mileage of
your wife's minivan?
15:17:50
[Tenaj] Anyone here today who
doesn't yet have a copy of Super Gas
Saver Secrets can get a 20% discount.
Use referral code: JC1-901
15:18:15
[mrmike] nothing yet - its the
only car we have right now and kinda
scared to do something until i get a
car for myself
15:18:24
[george] dowser: Have you tried
anything yet?
15:19:54
[george] mrmike: Yeah, I
understand. That's why I'm careful with
my wife's car and why I've designed my
fuel saving technology the way I do.
There's little that can't be switched
to OEM with the flip of a switch or a
few seconds on the side of the road. I
spent enough time on the side of the
road developing this stuff to YOU
wouldn't have to. And having my wife
call me from hours away to come and
rescue her gave me incentive to make
stuff easy and reliable.
15:20:09
[Tenaj] R2D2 What fuel saver
techniques have you tried?
15:21:10
[R2D2] I test-drive anything
before I let my wife get back at the
keys. We have one car, I use motorbike
to commute.
15:22:10
[george] dowser: Your vehicle
is actually one of the best examples of
a vehicle that my technology can help,
you ca at LEAST double mileage with
less than $500 investment.
15:22:52
[R2D2] I tried tune-up (good),
tire pressure by the book (highest
recommended inflation), various spark
plugs and my low-cost EFIE
15:22:54
[mrmike] The other concern is
the dreaded smog test! what about the
fed laws on modifying smog emissions
equip?
15:23:49
[R2D2] I got myself a $100 CO
tester (use it also for the gas
furnace). Investment recovered in the
firt year by the savings
alone.
15:25:22
[Tenaj] Eagle-Reasearch fuel
saving technology increases the
efficiency of the fuel system so that
you can pass smog tests with or without
the anti-pollution equipment
15:25:46
[george] dowser: First make
sure it is tuned to OEM spec (we'll
make changes later), then add the EFIE.
The EFIE is required to allow
combustion enhancement technology to
work on EFI systems that have oxygen
sensor feedback.
15:27:14
[dowser] yes, I tried a device
that plugged inline from the coil wire
to the distributor that was supposed to
increase mileage but all it did was
make the thing run rough and stall. It
was an Astro-Jet - Pulse Amplifier
Ignition Unit, sorry for the delay in
reply - I needed to look up the
unit
15:27:54
[dowser] Do I need more than 1
EFIE?
15:27:56
[george] dowser: Next add (your
choice of order) the HyZor and Water
Injection. If you use all the options,
like deceleration fuel shuoff, you will
have doubled mileage. These options
will allow you to significantly advance
timing without preignition or
detonation.
15:29:14
[Tenaj] NEXT GEORGE WISEMAN
CHAT: Sat. May 18/02 SUBJECT: Water
Injection
15:29:45
[R2D2] The Toyota had good
mileage off the factory. LAst thing I
added was direct hits spark enhancer.
That one Itested on my bench and works
as advertised. Engine runs smoother and
pulls bettter. Mileage: minor change,
not likely to break even on that
investment, but is fun. Next would be
water injec.
15:29:55
[george] mrmike: Federal laws
that prohibit you tampering with
anti-pollution equipment also prohibit
me from recommending that you tamper
with it. So I've designed my fuel
savers so that it doesn't
matter.
15:30:50
[btoews] I've got a Jetta
Diesel and used used canola oil. The
viscosity is greater than that of
regular diesel. Can I diminish the
viscosity?
15:31:31
[Tenaj] dowser You need and
EFIE for each oxygen sensor. If you
only have one oxygen sensor you only
need one EFIE
15:31:46
[mrmike] george: would you
recommend taking the van to Dodge to
bring it to OEM specs? or just a local
shop?
15:33:39
[george] dowser: one of my
recommendations is an after-market
ignition system. You really want a hot,
extended, or multiple spark. Pure fuel
vapors require a hot spark to ignite. I
think the Astro-Jet would have helped
if your ingnition system could have
produced the additional
voltage.
15:34:48
[george] dowser: however, it is
amperage, not voltage that actually
ignites fuel. In the SGSS I detail a
system of running two coils side by
side to increase amperage. It works
great
15:36:13
[Tenaj] btoews; What make, year
and fuel system do you have?
15:37:15
[btoews] It's a 1990 regular
diesel Jetta Volkswagen.
15:37:26
[george] btoews: yes, with
various fluids, like gasoline or
alcohol
15:39:23
[btoews] So you're saying it's
OK to mix some gasoline and/or alcohol
with the recycled restaurant liquid at
room temperature oil. And if so how
much? I don't even bother using the
restaurant oil in winter because of the
higher viscosity.
15:40:09
[C3PO] sorry, this is R2D2, my
messages did not appear.
15:40:32
[C3PO] mrmike: For check-up I
go to the local taxi company, those
mechanics know to keep cars running at
low cost and are not selling
repairs.
15:40:43
[george] mrmike: I'd do it at
least once, because I like to start
with the best THEY can do and then
improve on that. I've long been
thinking of having a challange to OEM,
that I can improve the fuel system
efficiency by at least 10% over any
stock or I forfet a sum of
money.
15:40:57
[Tenaj] C3Po: What make, year
and fuel system do you have?
15:42:13
[C3PO] George, I side with your
bet on the average U.S. angine. I
suggest you be careful with the 50
MPGers like the Prius or the small
Honda Jazz (called Fit in
Japan)
15:43:03
[george] btoews: yes, it is OK,
winter or summer. How much...just
enough to reduce the viscosity. Diesel
systems use the fuel as a
lubricant.
15:43:05
[mrmike] george: I hear ya. ( I
dont want to get into car maker - oil
company - big gov conspiracy yada
yada)
15:43:18
[C3PO] My 1994 Toyota has
2-channel EFI, runs on regular and my
rock-bottom EFIE mimick.
15:43:26
[dowser] It was at the higher
RPM range that the engine started to
misfire and stall under load. Also, I
later had alternator problems after
removing the unit and had to have it
replaced.
15:43:33
[george] C3PO: good
advise
15:44:55
[george] C3PO: Nope, I can beat
them too. The new hybrid vehicles are
NOT maximizing even the potential built
into them.
15:45:32
[C3PO] The Hybrids are NOT?
Tell me more
15:46:35
[george] I've already taken my
wife's Honda Civic, with a 1500 CVCC
engine to over 50 mpg US gallon and I
haven't even really applied any serious
fuel saving technology yet.
15:46:40
[C3PO] I just figure: with
water injection, they'd get 100
MPG?
15:47:28
[Tenaj] To challenge OEM >
read 'Why 200MPG is possible'.
Eagle-Research Pocket Pal
15:47:40
[btoews] Should I start with
one litre per tank (45 litre Tank) or
more?
15:48:05
[Tenaj] By the way, my Honda
Civic is an '83
15:48:52
[mrmike] tenaj: what mileage
are you getting?
15:49:17
[C3PO] George, what did the
Honda get OEM and what have you applied
so far?
15:52:35
[Tenaj] George returned the
vehicle to OEM standards first, then
has been gradually increasing the
system efficiency and just by adjusting
the timing got over 50MPG. But it need
Water Injection to keep it cool. Follow
the developments in the Eagle e-news.
See archives to catch-up
15:52:37
[george] C3PO: A couple of
major things and a slew of little
things. First, the systems (generally)
do not use high voltage (240 Volt or
better). Second a lot of them do not
use the electric motor
correctly.
15:52:54
[mrmike] only eight minutes
left - time flys when you're having to
wait for the internet... 8-(
15:53:49
[Tenaj] Thanks mmike. Do you
guys want another half an
hour?
15:54:05
[btoews] George, should I start
with one litre of gasoline per 45 litre
tank?
15:55:14
[george] btoews: Test some in a
jar, with another jar of diesel to
compare, both at the temperature you
are operating at. Mix in additional
'light' fuel till the heavy fuel
matches the viscosity of the diesel.
Just use a swirl technique or pour down
a plank.
15:55:46
[btoews] George,
Thanks
15:56:58
[george] dowser: I don't think
the Astro-jet would have caused
alternator problems...
15:57:16
[back-again] BTW, the 200MPG
book is on my wishlist, as my own
tampering resulted in some 10% of
savings and reduced pollution (no more
soot at the tailpipe). I want
more.

[Tenaj] NEXT GEORGE WISEMAN
CHAT: Sat. May 18/02 SUBJECT: Water
Injection NO CHAT IN JULY
16:03:06
[dowser] George, neither do I,
I think it was more likely the other
way around with my failing alternator
causing the Astro-Jet to perform
erratically.
16:03:49
[george] In the >200 MPG
pocketpal, I outline how one gallon of
fuel can actually make 8, with a huge
increase in net available
BTU
16:04:24
[back-again] mrmike: For
check-up I go to the local taxi
company, those mechanics know to keep
cars running at low cost and are not
selling repairs.
16:04:50
[george] Increasing mileage in
this way is called Thermal Catalytic
Cracking (TCC)
16:05:20
[mrmike] back-again: thanks
I'll check if my local cab co will
offer to check it (las vegas,
nv)
16:06:08
[mrmike] george: similar to the
GEET system?
16:06:26
[back-again] TCC is clever
chemistry at high temperature and
pressure. My building skills are not up
to that.
16:07:09
[george] dowser: In my SGSS
Manual I describe an additional 'vapor'
system (use in addition to the HyZor
and Water Injection) that heats the
fuel going back to the fuel tank/s and
then uses the resulting vapors from the
fuel tank to enhance
combustion.
16:09:15
[george] TCC is beyond 'normal'
skills. But could be applied at OEM
level with little increase in the cost
of the automobile. This is one of the
'key' components of 200 mpg for the
average vehicle. There is no good
reason that it is not being
applied.
16:10:03
[mrmike] george: (re dowser
comment) sounds a bit scary to me -
tank in back extra temp & vapor -
crash - boom!
16:10:10
[back-again] George: Agree. The
reason is short-sighted profit. Dec
newlsetter says "Vehicles that are
'self-fueling' are completely
possible". I'll help with
that.
16:11:18
[back-again] extra vapor is
being sucked out, not more than usual
hazard in case of crash
16:11:25
[george] dowser: I used this
vapor system in my 1972 International
4x4 3/4 ton Crewcab for years, going
from 7 mpg to 24 mpg.
16:11:49
[Tenaj] We're considering
hosting a Tinker on your own vehicle
with George WEEKEND in October /02
anyone interested??
16:12:31
[back-again] video
conference?
16:12:41
[george] mrmike: the fuel tank
actually doesn't get warm, because the
vapors (and thus the heat) are being
drawn from it. It's actually safer
because it's the vapors that go
boom
16:12:56
[Tenaj] UP CLOSE &
PERSONAL
16:13:22
[dowser] George, that sounds
very interesting - I'll be getting the
SGSS Manual (plus HyZor & Water
Injection) today!
16:13:32
[back-again] that will be 10000
miles frequent flyer
16:13:50
[Tenaj] Though a video of the
weekend could be made
available
16:14:36
[george] back-again: Yes, there
are several technologies that could
make a 'self-fueling' or million mile
fuel system. This could be incorporated
into the REAL efficient
hybrids.
16:16:15
[Tenaj] back-again: Nothings
too much for fuel savings,
right?
16:16:41
[back-again] great on that
video. Nothing speaks like moving
pictures and sound. Once we go REAL
efficient hybrids, my next dream is a
personal flying saucer.
16:16:43
[mrmike] george: can you
comment TCC vs GEET?
16:17:43
[Tenaj] dowser: Good book
Choices. SGSS is best to start
with
16:17:48
[back-again] hey, one flight
across the ocean and back is for a
family of 4 as much fuel as driving the
car for cloase to a year.
16:18:58
[george] mrmike: The GEET does
some TCC. I think it has some issues to
work out before it can actually be
practical for vehicles, like the vapor
control system.
16:19:07
[Tenaj] Well, when we're over
in that end of the world we'll let you
know. You can meet us for
sushi!
16:19:55
[back-again] George, how about
making the diesel, er kerosene powered
airliners more efficient?
16:20:32
[back-again] When you're here,
I'll show you my small home and we have
real raw fish.
16:21:21
[george] Generally, I cover
more details on my recommendations for
how I'd build an electric vehicle in my
newsletters. You've got to give OEM
credit though, it takes a lot of
organization to turn out vehicles at
the prices they do.
16:21:25
[Tenaj] Where in
Japan?
16:22:28
[back-again] Yokohama, small
planet Earth. George has my mail
address.
16:22:44
[george] A little off the
topic, but there are very efficient
means of air travel too, like
air-ships.
16:23:19
[Tenaj] back-again: I guess
this is why we haven't seen you
register for the 'Leader of the Pac'k'
Brown's Gas conference we're hosting in
Spokane, WA in April/02,
huh?
16:24:17
[back-again] true, airships
come back in Germany. They plan a
50-ton lifter balloon pulled by heli
and a 70 ton lifter crane airship that
can deliver loads where no other crane
can.
16:25:25
[back-again] Tenaj: that's
right. I'd have use for a browns gas
unit, though.
16:25:44
[george] Anyone not installing
HyZor and Water injection on any
combustion device (including furnaces)
is missing substancial savings. There
have been experiments that allowed
these two technologies to replace 90%
of the petro-fuel.
16:25:55
[Tenaj] Interested in the new
ER1200?
16:27:05
[back-again] ER 1200 yeah. I
don't have nor know a workshop to put
it to worthwhile use.
16:27:51
[back-again] seems we're alone
now Should I add water injection on my
gas furnace?
16:28:12

CHAT IN JULY
16:28:34
[back-again] Thanks for having
us, mylady.
16:28:47
[george] back-again: yes, I'm
extremely interested in airships
because I'm looking at options that
allow individuals to fly. They could
take up a huge load from truckers and
ships. Also allowing reasonably fast
passenger service, as they did
before.
16:28:48
[mrmike] Thanks George &
Tenaj! time well spent!
16:29:45
[back-again] George: i check
out a mag I saw about the lifter
project. back by mail...
16:30:20
[george] back-again: Yes, with
the Brown's Gas, water Injection makes
furnaces put out a significantly
greater BTU. I think it is because it
enhances the TCC at much lower
temperatures and pressures.
16:31:21
[george] Anyone have any
hanging questions before I
go?
16:31:32
[back-again] I'd have to save a
lot of gas to justify a BG
unit.
16:32:17
[back-again] Great to talk to
you all. See you over.
16:32:22
