Age and Capacity
Only registered customers who are age 18 or older may access the store. You certify that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to form a binding contract and are not a person barred from accessing the system under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction.
Order Fulfillment Schedule
Eagle-Research is located in a small and relatively remote area. Things do Not move at 'light-speed' to or from here. In addition, our work is done by a small handful of people. Our time alternates, week by week, between Office and Lab work. Orders are processed, on Office weeks.
Orders are automatically placed in a queue and filled on a first come, first served basis. Don't be concerned if it's hard to reach us or response is slow, we may be in the lab doing research, manufacturing or we may be on a trip. We do answer emails when we get into the office.
Order Lead Time
Depending on where you are located, please allow a minimum 3 - 4 weeks for order processing and delivery. (Some products may require additional lead time. You will be contacted when an order is placed for an item requiring additional time.) If you cannot wait, please do not order from us.
We do appreciate your orders, and thank you for your cooperation and patience. We're doing our best to develop product, fill orders and still get in some time for research and writing.
In most cases, Canadian and International orders are shipped via Canada Post.
In an effort to keep shipping costs to a minimum, USA orders are shipped through the USA Postal System primarily from Oroville, WA.
Reduce Shipping Costs
On items taller than 15 mm/.625, postal rates make combined shipping, more cost effective than purchasing the same items separately.
With notice, the use of courier service can be employed to increase the speed of delivery. However, due to the remote area we live in and the small size of the nearest community, such service is both expensive and Not readily available. Customers wishing to use a courier service are advised that premiums are applied to this choice.
Damages / Discrepancies
Every effort is made to package items properly for shipment to the desired destination. Any damaged goods must be reported to both us and the shipping service immediately upon receipt and inspection. Missing items must be reported within 7 business days.
Eagle-Research will not be responsible for any damage due to shipping. Package insurance is available at a very reasonable price and we insure packages routinely. The recipient of the goods should note any damage BEFORE accepting the package.
If the shipping service has damaged the package, contact us before complying with any request from them. Believe it or not, they don't want to pay the insurance claims (the USPS is particularly bad) and will do anything they can, legal and illegal to prevent payment. So we can give you advise on how to proceed in a way that will most likely get a payment.
If your product has a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it at our cost, if you contact us within 60 days. If you contact us after 60 days, there may be some fees involved, which we will inform you about. The choice of repair or replace is ours but we will certainly take your preference under consideration. Since 1984 we've had only 2 such repair requests so you can be pretty confident that our products function as claimed.
Returns & Refunds
If you are dissatisfied with your Eagle-Research product, return the product(s), in the original package and in undamaged, re-saleable condition, within 60 days of receipt for a full refund of the product(s) purchase price. Shipping and Handling fees are non-refundable. However, if it is our error we will make it right. If you change your mind, the return costs are your responsibility.
Returns cannot be accepted without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please contact us for an RMA number and return instructions.
Refunds will be processed though the same method as the original payment process used. Refund requests received by the 12th of the month are processed by the end of the same month.
Special Orders & Virtual Products
There will be no returns or refunds on custom or special orders.
Virtual Products cannot be refunded due to our inability to verify that all copies of the file(s) have been removed from the purchaser's device(s). Virtual Products include ebooks, online resources, and other forms of downloadable or online data. Under certain circumstances, we can verify that a file has never been downloaded by a user, and a cancellation/refund can be made in this case.
