WHAT'S
NEW (top)
I am going to Australia
this year. We are looking for hosts
and will plan our itinerary
according to the response. At this
time Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne
are being considered. <
>
I have started sending out the
requests for installers with the
most recent mailing. If you wish to
be a listed installer of
Eagle-Research Fuel Savers, you need
to fill out one of these forms. Upon
acceptance you will be listed in the
'Installer List' which is sent to
anyone who wishes to find an
installer.
I
know of several people who have made
good businesses installing our
technology and at least two have
retired to live on the income. We do
not ask any royalty from you for
installing our technology; all the
money is yours to keep. We do it
this way because it is the only
method we've discovered that
bypasses 'vested interest'
suppression.
'Water as Fuel, Book 1'
has become an Eagle-Research
Best-Seller. With the price of fuel
rising, concern for the pollution
and the environmental damage that is
being caused by burning
petrochemicals, people are willing
to look at the option of using Water
as Fuel. It is sold for $20 on the
website:
http://www.eagle-research.com/order.html
This
is the last chance to get it for
$20. Beginning in March quite a few
of our books are going to rise in
price about 10% to reflect our
increased costs.
'Water
as Fuel, Book 1' is a
compilation of worldwide research
that is NOW running vehicles on
water as their ONLY fuel, and
several options that allow you to at
least partially run YOUR vehicle on
water NOW. There has never been a
book as complete as this one on
using Water as Fuel. This book is
meant to inform people of the
'state-of-art' and to assist further
practical development of these
technologies by providing resources
unavailable to the general
public.

FUEL
SAVERS (top)
By
this issue of the newsletter, I had
planned to have a section of our
website open that would help people
evaluate past and present fuel
savers, giving an overview in this
newsletter. The website upgrade is
not finished, but will be; I'll let
you know when it's done.
There
is a discussion group on fuel saving
(complete with an archive so you can
catch up) at:
<
>
A
lot of fuel savers have come and
gone over the years. Some were
frauds, which taints the reputation
of legitimate products. I've had a
harder time selling my fuel saving
information because I get tainted
with the same brush as the frauds,
being guilty until proven innocent.
I have several experiences that
indicate the taint.
An
example experience is an episode of
a show called Marketplace that
appeared on a Canadian Network
called CBC. Marketplace is one of
the 'consumer protection' shows the
government sponcers. This episode
featured five fuel savers that were
being sold in America (USA and
Canada) at the time. I got a copy of
the show from one of my customers.
Marketplace did independent testing
on these fuel savers and followed up
on invention claims. They found no
measurable gains in mileage and
falsified claims. My sales of fuel
savers in Canada dropped to near
zero overnight, even though my
Carburetor Enhancer was not
mentioned on the show.
From
another customer I learned that
Marketplace actually DID test my
Carburetor Enhancer and found it to
EXCEED my customer testimonials. Yet
Marketplace did not mention fuel
savers that worked on the show, only
ones that did not work. This
automatically makes people believe
that ALL fuel savers do not work. If
they had mentioned that the
Carburetor Enhancer worked, I would
have made over a million dollars in
sales overnight.
I
called Marketplace to ask WHY they
didn't mention the fuel savers that
worked or even just mention that
some fuel savers do work. I got an
attitude that said, "we report on
fraud, we do not promote products
that work." Ordinarily I'd think
that was good enough but in this
case they nearly killed my business
and prevented thousands of people
from actually saving
fuel.
Some
fuel savers work only marginally or
only on a few vehicles and
disappoint customers almost as much
as the frauds. In this same area are
the fuel savers that have sound
principles but have components that
fail and cause the customer
disappointment (I've had this happen
to me). This is the kind of thing I
will be reporting on my
website.
Some
fuel savers work well and are
suppressed by 'vested interest'. I
will cover this type of suppression
in the next issue (April) of this
newsletter.
And
lastly, some fuel savers work well
and are not completely
suppressed.
At
Eagle-Research, we don't call any of
our products a 'fuel-saver' unless
it saves at least 10% on at least
75% of vehicles it can be applied
to. This is enough savings that
people can actually see the savings
without keeping meticulous records.
Fuel savers that work but get less
gains than 10%, I still define as
combustion enhancement technology,
just not 'fuel saver'.
We
generally sell information that
allows people to build, install and
operate their own fuel savers. We do
not patent this information or the
devices. Continued research is
financed by the sale of the books.
We do not generally sell actual
pre-made devices, though we do
provide some parts as a customer
convenience, if the customer
asks.
I
personally prefer fuel savers that
enhance rather than replace the
existing fuel system. Fuel savers
that require little modification to
the existing fuel system and can be
shut off or disconnected, allowing
the vehicle to continue without the
device should there be any
problem.
For
Carbureted Vehicles
Eagle-Research
offers the Carburetor Enhancer, the
Electronic Carburetor Enhancer and
the HyCO 2A systems for carbureted
vehicles. These should be installed
in the order listed, waiting till
you get each step working before
proceeding to the next step.
Generally, you can expect a 50-100%
mileage gain, while retaining full
performance.
For
Fuel Injected
Vehicles
You
must apply the EFIE device (build it
yourself or buy it from us) before
you apply ANY combustion enhancement
device (no matter who you buy your
fuel saver from). Fuel injection
systems are designed to prevent fuel
savers from working. The EFIE allows
you to install fuel savers without
the computer knowing that the fuel
saver is there.
After
applying the EFIE on fuel injection,
the next step we offer is the HyCO
2A system. Generally you can expect
a 25-50% mileage gain, while
retaining full
performance.
For
Diesel (and gasoline)
turbocharged vehicles, we have
developed the HyCO 2DT system. This
gives about 10% increase in mileage
while also increasing the power 10%.
This has been independently verified
by Cat and Perkins. We have applied
them to vehicles as small as
Volkswagen Jetta and as large as
1,000 horsepower boat engines. On
'class 8' diesel trucks (road
tractors) the gain in power means
taking hills in higher gears, saving
hours of travel time.
Evaluating
fuel savers and their effectiveness
is a tricky business, because
everybody's application is
different. Where they are, when and
how they drive, the particular
vehicle, vehicle condition and
environment conditions are just a
few of the hundreds of variables.
That's why EAGLE-RESEARCH has a
satisfaction or money-back
guarantee. We want ONLY satisfied
customers. Of course, we also try to
help with advise if you need it.
We've been in business since 1984,
so we've gotten quite
experienced.
Some
vehicles will respond very well to
any particular fuel saver and some
will not gain anything no matter
what you do. Most will favor some
technology over others.
The
performance of 'classes' of fuel
savers can be somewhat generalized.
The 'classes' of fuel savers below
are very general and will be covered
in detail in my website upgrade.
Although I give some examples below
I'm not particularly endorsing them
over others in their class; I'm just
giving examples that I remember
without going to my
files.
Fuel Conditioner devices,
treating the liquid fuel with
preheat, electrostatics, magnetic
fields, orgone accumulators or
dissimilar metals usually get
minimal gains. The best give more
power gains than mileage gains.
These technologies are valid but
need to be applied correctly or it's
just 'smoke and mirrors'. An example
is the 'Tripolion' from AZ
Industries. They sell mostly
overseas because of the tainted
reputation that fuel savers have in
North America.
I
define fuel conditioners to be
technology that adds energy to the
liquid fuel or changes the structure
of the fuel WITHOUT adding
significant chemicals to the fuel.
This technology does not require
additives on a regular
basis.
Fuel Additives, to enhance
combustion efficiency and increase
power. There are a spectrum of
additives on the market to increase
combustion efficiency. An example is
the 'Platinum Fuel Saver' from
National Fuelsaver Corporation. This
class of fuel saver requires you to
buy 'additive' on a regular basis to
keep saving fuel. Be sure that your
additive cost does not exceed your
fuel savings.
Sometimes
additives are (correctly enough)
called fuel conditioners but for my
classification, if the fuel saver is
a product that adds chemicals on a
regular basis to work, it is called
an additive.
Engine modifications to increase
power generally also increases
mileage. These are modifications to
the engine itself, not just a bigger
or different fuel system. I usually
leave this subject for racing
literature to cover. Mostly I
concentrate on combustion
enhancement that can be achieved by
the average backyard
mechanic.
Oil Additives classification
covers a very wide range of
solutions that can be added to the
oil. Some make the oil itself more
slippery. Some make the metal
surfaces more slippery. Generally I
include only additives that increase
engine efficiency by reducing
friction in this classification. An
example is 'Energy Release', made by
Entech Corporation.
Water as fuel, covers several
technologies which are detailed in
my 'Water as Fuel, Book 1.' Some
examples are listed
below:
Electrolysis, the splitting of
water into hydrogen and oxygen using
electricity from the vehicle's
alternator. The resulting mixture
usually enhances combustion of the
fossil-fuel enough to get a net gain
in performance and mileage. This is
where the Brown's Gas technology
merges with the combustion
enhancement technology.
Hydrogen peroxide can be a fuel
all of it's own, in special engines.
When added as an assist to
fossil-fuels it can increase the
efficiency of the fuel burn quite a
bit.
Mixing water and fossil-fuel.
There are quite a few ways to do
this. Has been done with excellent
results for many years.
Using chemical reactions to
split water, such as aluminum and
Lye. Can produce hydrogen to run the
engine at a cost of less than $1 per
100 miles.
much more....
Fuel Vaporizers cover a broad
range of options. The simplest use
techniques that increase fuel-vapor
production using evaporation. More
advanced vapor systems use heat from
electricity and-or exhaust to
achieve more fuel vaporization. The
most advanced systems actually
'crack' the fuel, using a
combination of heat and catalysts;
so your engine might be running on
natural gas (methane) cracked from
the gasoline or diesel.
Ignition system upgrades get
honorable mention. Though not
usually a fuel saver, advanced
ignition systems are definitely
combustion enhancement technology.
And quite often, if you apply fuel
savers, advanced ignition systems
help to optimize the gains. Dry fuel
vapor requires a 'hotter' spark to
ignite.
After market carburetors and
fuel injection systems. Examples are
the 'Fish' carburetor and 'Holley
Projection' systems.
Tools to Assist Combustion
Enhancement. One example is the
Colortune, a clear spark plug that
allows you to actually watch the
fuel burn in the combustion chamber;
an inexpensive and essential tool
for those people trying to get
maximum efficiency.
Suppliers of Parts and equipment
that assist fuel saver projects. JC
Whitney is one such
supplier.
Books List. Will cover books
that have been published that assist
the fuel saver
experimenter.
If
you have know of any fuel savers in
any of these categories that you
want evaluated, be sure to mention
it to me. < >

SELF-RELIANCE
(top)
As
you know, civilization did not
crumble due to Y2K bug. Some people
say that doomsayers scared everyone
for no reason. In my opinion the
opposite is true. Because the
doomsayers brought the problems to
the attention of the public, the
public forced attention to be spent
on prevention instead of cure. So we
spent billions on fixes instead of
trillions on cures. I'm quite happy
with the result; I'm sure you are
too.
Because
of the preventative spending and the
preparations, we had a fairly smooth
transition into Y2K. Only a few
people got paid twice, although it
cost their employers millions. I
know of only one person who got a
billion dollars in his bank account.
Lots of people lost access to their
health insurance which caused health
risks. A couple of banks got caught
on assumptions, not having tested
new programing because the older
programing was Y2K compliant. Some
nuclear power plants had to remain
shut down. Millions of personal
computers needed upgrades (including
mine when Netscape 3 failed) that
are still being done. Governments
and military have more problems than
admitted, more news is coming out
AFTER they get the systems working
again. There were a lot of glitches
and more are happening, but mostly
small stuff that becomes significant
only because there is so much of it.
We (who are actively looking for the
troubles) are only seeing the tip of
them, because news of problems is
suppressed.
The
gas and oil industry is still not
operating at optimum, so expect
prices to rise a bit more. This is
already causing truckers strikes in
Canada with thousands of trucks in
convoys slowing down traffic to a
crawl. Independent truckers must pay
for their own fuel, which has
doubled in price in the last
year.
One
State government left three of their
computer systems unchanged, just to
see what would happen. All three
crashed on the first second of the
year and could not be restarted.
This is what would have happened to
the whole world; so don't be too
hard on the doomsayers, they did a
great service in a very short time.
They did not say that everything
would crash; they said everything
would crash IF IT WAS NOT FIXED. And
they were very right. It is to their
credit that most problems were
addressed.
The
Y2K issue is NOT over, though most
of the effects are mitigated.
Companies and governments are just
holding things together, still
completing upgrades and there are
still date hurdles to cross.
Generally though, we've made it.
There will be shock waves that slow
the economy but it'll be OK for most
people.
I've
learned a lot of people are giving
away their stored supplies to
charity. While I can appreciate the
generosity, I must disagree with the
logic. I used Y2K as an example date
of a crisis because it could be
foreseen. Most crisis in people's
lives is not foreseeable and is just
as needful of stored supplies as Y2K
had the potential of being. Twice in
my life I personally used nearly a
years supply of food to help get my
family past financial and health
problems.
Now
that you have some supplies ahead,
it is my advise to develop the habit
of keeping it fresh by eating from
it and replacing (rotating) what's
eaten.
One
of the mandates I have set for
Eagle-Research is to promote
self-reliance. While we generally
focus on energy
self-sufficiency, we feel that we
have not provided enough help if
people fail in other areas. What
good does it do to be able to turn
on the lights if you are
starving?
Enough
preaching; just know that we CARE
what happens to you.
My
advise is to prepare as our
'Do-it-Yourself
Crisis
Survival'
book details. In doing this you
actually GAIN security while
saving money.

BROWN'S
GAS NEWS (top)
Atomic
Energy Canada has successfully
tested Brown's Gas to neutralize
radioactive waste; using full
scientific protocol. Further tests
are being done soon. The USA DOE
tested Brown's Gas and found the
same result, but wouldn't validate
their findings for public
domain.
Brown's
Gas technology continues to be
developed to industry standards. The
electrolyzers are being modified to
allow Brown's Gas to be a direct
replacement gas for current industry
equipment. People who are using our
machines (bought from us or built
themselves) are telling us the
changes they'd like to see. This
input will be reflected in the next
generation of machines.
We
are cooperating with organizations
that are testing the Brown's Gas
characteristics and it's usefulness
in their applications. There have
been some surprising developments
which I will detail as soon as I get
permission.

The

Daniel,
This
is a common frustration, hearing
that there are stories but never
getting them verified. I collect the
kind of stories you are talking
about, so am quite familier with the
'proof' not arriving. In the next
issue, you'll see MY story and I
assure you that as much as you see,
it's only a portion of the facts;
the whole story would fill a
book.
Yes,
I have built a fuel system that took
a 1973 GMC pickup well over 200
miles per gallon with an INCREASE in
performance. Yes, I've run vehicles
on WATER as their only fuel. Yes,
vested interest does suppress
combustion enhancement technology.
Learn what happened to them (and is
happening now) in the April issue of
this newsletter.
