The most
important point I have to make here is that we
live on what has become a very small planet
compared to our needs. What I have to say below
is mostly self-evident and harsh. But the first
step to solving any problem is to establish and
recognize the problem.
Technology has
given us a higher standard of living (at least
for some of us) faster transportation and
advanced communication, which also help make all
people neighbors. But we are not treating each
other as neighbors.
Our mass of
people (all people on the planet) and their
requirements are turning our planet into a
cesspool in which we will not be able to live.
This is as serious as being hit by a moon sized
meteor. We have the potential of destroying most
of the life on this planet in a very short
time.
This
planet-destroying action is perpetuated by
greed, ignorance and lack of personal
responsibility. I'm not saying that everyone is
a world saver, but those who happen to have some
control are (mostly) not using it for the
benefit of the planet and the people on it. And
I do say that everyone has a personal
responsibility to act in a manner that preserves
the planet.
I'm the kind of
person that defines a problem and then hunts for
a solution. Another problem here is that the
solutions require the cooperation of billions of
people. In any case, I see several things would
have to happen before we could be comfortable
that the planet will live and support us
comfortably.
We need some
sort of worldwide resource management system; so
that when something is done in one part of the
world, it's ramifications are considered
elsewhere. Also, when there is disaster, support
can come fast and adequately.
We need free
energy, so that all people could expect to share
a common standard of living which would include
shelter, clothing, food, companionship,
communication, transportation and the freedom to
do whatever their heart desires for an
occupation.
Proper
education system that teaches, in addition to
reading, writing and arithmetic, social skills
of personal responsibility, loving, principled
living and awareness of higher levels of
being.
Proper
government by the people, for the people. This
will require a government that'll be without
greed for money or power; that'll do what's in
the interest of all the planet's
people.
In my opinion
the only way that we can get all the people in
the world to agree to not be greedy, is to
provide a reasonable standard of living to each
person. People who are free from survival stress
are free to think of their neighbors.
My solution
requires the application of 'free energy'. A
source of energy available to every person
everywhere on the face of the planet, every
second of their lives. The energy source must be
easily acquired and must not in any way damage
the earth's ecosystem.
I've dedicated
my life to finding and providing such an answer
to the world. This is how I choose to contribute
to all people and the preservation of our
wonderful planet. OK, I'm greedy too, but my
greed is to want this type of energy source for
myself; then I don't mind sharing it with
everyone.
Please note that
I try in many small ways to be eco-responsible
on an personal level, supporting reducing,
reusing, recycling our limited resources. I try
to learn as much as I can so that I can be a
responsible planet person. I also try to help
spread a new way of thinking, supporting
personal responsibility for own life needs and
lack of greed.
